Plain and simple, Algonquin (aka "The Park") is a very cool place to go. Designated as a National Historic Site, discovery awaits you at every one of its 2400 lakes. A hot spot for wildlife research, the Park has over 272 species of birds, 1000 plants (many unique), 54 species of fish, and a navigable river trail system stretching 2000km. This right here is world class canoeing, folks.
A customized paddle route will be made with your interests at heart. Wilderness sleepovers are also a part of your adventure! |
We offer two areas of adventure in the park, some in the western half and the others encompassing the south/central region.
Some of our trips are outlined below, and can be adjusted to group size and skill level. All trips are a "GO" rain or shine, as the weather is a part of the experience! Please book these popular trips well in advance.
A typical day of adventure in the park begins with a hearty breakfast followed by some morning activities. Then it's time to pack up camp and get the canoes ready for the next leg of the journey. The day will see a 9km paddle, with breaks for lunch and, as always, anything that catches our attention! We will look to make the next camp around 4pm, which allows time for relaxation, construction of a fire, an awesome dinner, and to set up for the night. Evening activities include star gazing, camp-fire tunes, swimming, fishing, games, and local area exploration.
Our food menu is always customizable, setting us apart from other companies. A sample can be found here.
*Earthworm use in the Park is prohibited due to non-native species invasion
