What do people know most about Muskoka? Well its lakes of course! Many people cottage here in the summer to embrace the fresh air, great views, and peaceful settings. We have put this trip together to get you out on the water to get what it's all about.

Trip is designed for all ages and skill levels, expect to be paddling on a river and out on the lake with big open spaces.

10:30  Meet up and get organized for the day near Santa's Village.  A brief 20 minute introduction will cover the basic skills we will need to enjoy our day.
11:00 Paddle on out, down the river, and into Lake Muskoka!
12:45 Lunch (wahoo!)Have a sandwich picnic lunch with finger foods, and lots of beverages to keep up those energy levels! Swim, catch some rays, and stretch your legs.
1:30  Let's paddle! Return to the water after a nice relaxing lunch, and head back to our starting point.

3:00 Arrive back at the start location, say farewells, give high-fives!

Really keen to get out in a kayak instead of a canoe? We know our guests all have different interests, and we want to provide the best trip out there! Greater Opportunities and the Paddle Shack
have partnered to get you in one for only an extra $10 per person! Let us know, and we can get you in one- feel free to mix and match canoes and kayaks in your group too.
We really want to make it easy to plan your adventure with us, so we included everything in the price of your adventure. What exactly does this include? Well you will have a guide out with you for the day, you will get a paddling lesson to learn some strokes and get paddling, and we even pack lunch for you! As well as all these things we also bring all your equipment that you will need for the day including:
  • Paddle
  • PFD (dog pfd's are extra $)
  • Boat (canoe/kayak)
  • A dry bag to put your extra things into
Since we take care of most of the planning and packing it makes your bag a bit lighter! Although we carry a lot of these extras with us, we know lots of people are comfortable bringing their own. So, here's a mini check list we ask that paddlers bring along:
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug spray (spring only)
  • Sun glasses
  • Hat
  • Appropriate clothing for the day (including a rain jacket if forecasted)
  • Camera
Guests will be expected to get to and from the paddling starting point. Free parking is available at all of our sites. Washrooms at our lunch stop is an outhouse/woods on this trip and does not have flushing toilets.
